
22 Feb Miley Cyrus's New Body
One fine day, I woke up to see everyone tweeting about Miley Cyrus’s wildly inappropriate performance at the VMA Awards, and I just HAD TO YouTube it to see what the big hooha was. The last time I saw Miley was in the movie “The Last Song” (2010). So naturally, I imagined her to walk out of the giant teddy bear looking like what I’ve always known her to be – Hannah Montana.
Grabbed some honey stars and plopped myself in front of my laptop.

Thoughts that went through my head as I watched the video:
1) Is that Pink?
2) Is that Gwen Stefani?
3) Girl what is wrong with your tongue?
4) She needs to put more clothes on?
5) SHE LOST WEIGHT?
6) Tongues belong in the mouth not outside?
7) Lesser clothes??? :O
8) No
9) What happened to Miley
10) Someone stop the tongue
That pretty much sums up the highlights of the entire performance. Disturbing tongue action and hip thrusts aside, let’s take a look at the one healthy change she had – a leaner, toned body. It is difficult (after watching her performance) not to assume that she probably had an eating disorder to match her wild change.
However, a quick search on Google revealed that the secret to her weight loss is a combination of a gluten-free, lactose-free diet, dance rehearsals, and 1-hour of Pilates, 6 times a week! While she has unfortunately become not exactly a good role model, she is a great example of how it is possible to lose weight and sculpt your body with Pilates, keeping in mind the following tips:
1) Eat Healthy – no processed foods, no added sugars, lotsa greens and lean meats
2) Attend Pilates classes at least 3 times a week
3) Add cardio exercises into your workout routine or simply attend Pilates Cardio Jumpboard class!
